Through the Soccer Skills Academy, there are opportunities to progress into Royal Wootton Bassett Town's youth section teams – with a particular aim being that the Soccer Skills Academy's early years programmes feed into the club's Under 7s and 8s teams. The emphasis of all sessions is on maximum ball contact time, healthy development, learning new skills (both football and social) and – most importantly of all – having fun.
The Soccer Skills Academy offers regular sessions on Monday evenings in Royal Wootton Bassett, as well as football camps during the school holidays. The coaching on offer through the Soccer Skills Academy programme is aimed at boys and girls of all abilities from three year olds through to those in school year 11. Launched in January 2012, Royal Wootton Bassett Town's Soccer Skills Academy is a community football programme run in partnership with Advanced Sports Coaching Ltd – one of the leading sports coaching companies in the south west.
